ADULT EDUCATION Adult education is a prime place where we: Communicate
God's Truth: teaching toward biblical understanding (II Tim. 2:15) educating and discipling of all
ages (I Pet. 5:3), and training for ministry and
life-skill (Eph. 4:11-16). Adult education offers strength for marriages and
families; hope and encouragement through practical solutions to life's
problems; real friendships; and opportunities to invest your life for others.
The choices are many. They include: ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL: All classes
are open to everyone. See the Sunday School brochure for more information on
classes offered. RETREATS: A variety of seminars,
conferences, and enrichment weekends are offered. HOMEBUILDERS: This ministry offers
opportunities to enhance and support marriages through classes, workshops,
fun events, and retreats. REAL LIFE CONNECTION GROUPS Lives are changed when people get involved in adult
education at Faith Covenant. Whether participating in Sunday School classes,
small groups, men's and women's ministries, age-related ministries, retreats,
seminars, special events, or community service opportunities, there are many
opportunities to deepen your passion for God and your compassion for people. ADULT FELLOWSHIP SMALL GROUP STUDIES are offered throughout the year,
providing friendship, fellowship and spiritual encouragement. Bible studies,
discipleship, topical studies, parenting groups, marriage support, and
prayer/share support groups are just a few of the possibilities. The
newsletter and Sunday bulletin lists these. COVENANT WOMEN includes all the
women of our church for missions, service, and encouragement. Special events
are held during the year for women in the church and community. A Southeast Conference
Women’s Retreat is held in November. Our women also participate in other
retreat opportunities. A national retreat is held every three years. MEN & BOYS' BREAKFASTS are
held on the third Saturday of the month (September-May) at 8:00 a.m. It costs
only $1.00 for a hearty breakfast and fun fellowship. SOFTBALL TEAMS on city leagues are
offered for men’s participation. We stress growth! Each person has unique gifts to share. It is rewarding to be actively involved in Christian fellowship with friends of common age and interests. At Faith Covenant there are rich and varied opportunities for education, fellowship, service, and devotion with your friends. |
